What are plastic windows?

Plastic windows usually refers to windows with uPVC frames: unplasticised polyvinyl chloride, a rigid material used for window and door profiles. The frame holds the glazing, seals and opening hardware. uPVC is different from flexible plastic and does not need the regular repainting associated with timber frames.

The right specification depends on more than the frame material. Glass selection, reinforcement, seals, hardware and installation all affect how the finished window works. We discuss these together, rather than choosing a window on its appearance alone.

Choose the opening system for your room

Our 60 mm tilt-and-turn system combines two opening modes in one sash: an inward tilt for ventilation and a side opening for access and cleaning. It is a useful starting point for bedrooms and living rooms where you want an opening window. Allow space inside for the sash, curtains and furniture.

For openings where an inward swing would be inconvenient, discuss the HS-58 double-track or HS-58M monoslide systems. These uPVC sliding systems are used for window and door applications. Panel arrangement, opening width and fly-screen requirements should be agreed before manufacture.

For a coordinated balcony or terrace opening, the range also includes the FR-85 inward-opening door and ES-72 sliding system. We can discuss matching windows and doors within the same project, subject to the dimensions and system selected.

Glazing for Dubai's heat, sunlight and traffic noise

Start with the room's orientation and use. A sunny facade, a bedroom beside a busy road and a shaded courtyard opening may need different glass specifications. Tell us whether solar exposure, privacy or outside noise is the main concern so we can discuss the appropriate glazing.

Double glazing is available, with triple glazing on compatible systems. More panes alone do not establish the performance of a complete window. Glass build-up, coatings, seals and installation must be considered together. Any thermal, acoustic or security rating should be confirmed for the specific assembly in your quotation.

Frame colours, dimensions and finishing details

The range includes white, coloured and wood-laminated finishes. Share your preferred colour or a reference image and we will confirm availability for the chosen profile. Opening direction, handles, reinforcement and glass options are also part of the specification.

For a replacement, send photographs of the existing window, approximate width and height, and the property location. For a new build, window schedules and drawings help us understand quantities and opening arrangements. Final manufacturing dimensions and any building requirements must be confirmed before production.
